Akala’s Great Reads

Image result for akala

I first heard of Akala a few years back in a song called Find No Enemy & thought that he was brilliant destined for greatness. Doing a little research on this brother, I learned that he received a number of music awards, an honourary doctorate by the University of Brighton & authored a critically acclaimed non-fiction book entitled Natives: Race and Class in the Ruins of Empire. The book is part memoir, part polemic, on the subject of race in modern Britain. He is the British equivalent to Saul Williams or Dee-1. As an avid reader, I highly recommend the books he highlights here…. be prepared to get your mind blown!
